Slow Carb Diet continued ...

I should be more regular in updating this post for self record but I am lazy hence haven't updated it till today. Nevertheless its not too late. Observing changes like sugar craving in evening has come down.

Day 5/30

  • Weight - 91 kgs
  • Breakfast - 3 egg Omelette
  • Lunch - 4 soya chaap sticks with Ragu Garden combination sauce
  • Snacks - 1 piece of cake and 1 cup Mirinda, 1 tea.
  • Dinner -  Rajma with Yellow and Red Bell pepper with 3 carrots. Burrrp.
We had Gurbeer Singh with us today, who is an ex VP of Renault, France.
Today was Sway's 3rd anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, we had cake and cold drinks. There were lots of activities. Bought 2 ltrs of Sofit and 4 Diet Cokes. It rained today. Season of fried foods comes. Tomorrow is cheat day plus get to play badminton for 2-3 hours. I don't know how to pull that one off but hopefully will do so with injuries.

Day 4/30

  • Weight - 92 kgs
  • Breakfast - 3 egg Omelette
  • Lunch - Rajma with Red and Yellow Bell peppers and onion.
  • Snacks - 1 Diet Coke in the evening.
  • Dinner -  No dinner just 3 glasses of Soy Milk
The Omelette is very filling in the mornings and I am getting a hang of eating this every day. Weight loss has been a steady 1 kg/day till now. Lunch was shared with the office guys. So effectively I ate less. Avoided eating Gulab Jamuns and Samosas @ office (occasion was Kiranjeet's wife's birthday). Watched too much TV but got to chat with Natasha. I also bought Soya Chaps for the night but ended up preparing them for the next day.

Day 3/30

  •  Weight - 93 kgs
  • Breakfast - 3 egg Omelette
  • Lunch - Choley with cauliflower
  • Snacks - 2 glasses (400 ml) of Soy Milk (Sofit Kesar Pista)
  • Dinner -  Choley with Ragu and cauliflower
Again had sugar cravings in the evenings. I had gone out with Kiranjeet to Store18 and Ritu Wears. Bought 3 shirts. Awesome way to not put on weight - Spend money. Bought some Soy milk and Heinz pre cooked beans and tofu.

Day 2/30

  •  Weight - 94 kgs
  • Breakfast - 3 egg Omelette
  • Lunch - Rajma in Ragu
  • Snacks - None
  • Dinner -  Rajma (Don't remember the bloody form)
Had bad pangs of sugar cravings. Some how managed to over come them. Felt very sleepy.

My experiments with Diets - The Slow Carb Diet by Tim Ferris

With Natasha back in Italy for the month, I have decided to go ahead and do some experimentation in my bachelorhood time. I am trying out the Slow Carb diet (read about the book here and the blog that inspired me) by Tim Ferris this month. The idea is to avoid carbs from white starch and sugars like STDs for 6 days a week. The 7th day (Sunday) is totally for having an orgy (binging out). So the experiment has started off today.

Day 1/30

  •  Weight - 95 kgs
  • Breakfast - NA
  • Lunch - Rajma with onion salad (125 gms) at 1:30 pm.
  • Snacks - Had 2 cups of tea with 6 biscuits. (Note for tomorrow - Don't have the biscuits)
  • Dinner -  Rajma with Ragu mushroom sauce, onion, garlic, 1 teaspoon honey, 1/2 a lemon squeezed (salt, red chilli powder, turmeric) and a huge cucumber for salad with black salt. Half cup raisins.  Time - 9:00 pm.

Drank nearly 4 bottles of water today. I got cravings for sugar in the evening when I visited the grocery stores to get stuff for tomorrow. Successfully avoided that.  But I need to find a better grocery store like "Honey Money Top" in Greater Noida. I need the ready baked beans, balsamic vinegar, avocados, almond butter, red / yellow bell peppers, etc.

Kick start

Well its been a while again since I have written something here for everyone to read up. There are lots of things that I would like to write about. Somethings that I realised during the lonely afternoons spent in a quaint corner in Pisa during my trip there last month. So I will put up something here. Very soon.

Stanford teaches iPhone app development as a course http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs193p/cgi-bin/drupal/

I had asked Chirag to help me / share links on learning to develop applications on the iPhone.
He responded by saying that he learnt it from a Stanford course.

Look at this http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs193p/cgi-bin/drupal/

Stanford is now teaching iPhone programming as a part of its CS curriculum.

I guess Apple must have sponsored this course. :-D .

Will Android for Google / Bada OS & apps for Samsung / Symbian for Nokia phones course come in next?
